UAVs are now used for a wide range of purposes, from recreational flight to front-line national defence. Despite their numerous uses and applications, modern UAVs face the same age-old problem of limited range due to battery power. According to research, the majority of the power is consumed during the vertical take-off and landing phase. A possible solution in the form of aerially launched UAVs can be implemented to reduce this. This has the potential to reduce power lost during vertical ascent and landing, effectively increasing range. This competition is designed for students to explore their mind and spark the innovative design thinking of individuals without putting any constraints on available physical resources. Students are encouraged to be as Imaginative, Creative and Insightful as possible within practical implementable limits.
